rear end of the car starts to make a knocking?

my vt 5.7 if im driving for say 1 hr around town and every time i slow down the rear end of the car starts to make a knocking sound every time i slow down ? every time the car gets hot the knocking starts up when i slow down

Could be an axle bearing or brake problem-open it up and investigate-were not there to hear it-you are our eyes and ears here

Check all IRS bolts and drive line as well, many problems with loose bolts and some early rear ends were prone to developing cracks.
