I have a noise coming from the top of my engine.

The noise is a soft tapping sound, not a hard knock. It is definatly coming from the top, and it doesn't go away at high rpm's. The engine uses no oil, and runs and idles smoothly.

sounds like a failing valve lifter. have it checked by a shop to confirm.
