I have a problem with the driver side brake/tail light and pass side turn signal on my wifes 2000 Windstar. I've tried the bulbs and fuses, neither is the problem. I've checked the plugs and all the wires are dead. I had fixed the trans. Linkage on the steering column a week or so before that and I'm not sure if they could be related. Thanks

Power runs through the steering column to the tail lights. Chances are you disconnected something. I hate to say it, but you need to take things apart and check your work for broken wires, unplugged harnesses.
