i hear a grinding sound couple times a week comming from my rear axle i think ,this happens when in 2 wheel drive,the truck is a 4x4 , spider gear maybe, or lube needed on the drive shaft ends, THATS MY GUESSES, THANKS ,,MIKE

axle bearings and pinion bearings are more common from lack of lube. when was the last time you changed the fluid??
