2000 Ford Ranger clutch/transmission ?

im driving and i shift , it goes into gear but grinds while in gear until i release the clutch. When i down shift and release the clutch about midway in the release of the clutch there is a grinding but when the clutch if fully released the noise stops ... the noise is getting more frequent ,,, does not make this noise while at idle or in neutral
