I bought a clutch kit that has a non self adjusting pressure plate. Can I use this or is it even advisable to use this? I'm not sure if this type of pressure plate is comparable with a hydrolic clutch or not? My understanding that the original plates are self adjusting. If it is, are there any type periodic maintenance involved?

No such thing as self asjusting pressure plate.

The clutch kit will contain plate, bearing and disc. Adjustment of the pedal is normal operation periodically.

That's right. It's the hydraulic clutch system that the pedal pushes on that is self adjusting, not the clutch itself.
