will not engage into any forward gears

My ford e 450 econoline (2000) but it will engage in reverse , what might cause this fluid level is ok. When shifting it will go through drive , 1 and 2, and reverse. it only engages in reverse

take to a trans shop have the guy scan it an dpressure check it.
