My Ford Mustang has a ticking underneath the engine In the morning when the engine is cold it's not real bad when it warms up it starts ticking about 30 miles per hour and quiet down about 50 miles per hour and also at low speeds 10 to 15 miles per hour also and when using the air conditioning it seems that it's louder or worse the performance on the car is still well just the ticking noise is just very annoying just want to know what the problem is so I won't tear up the car please help me fix this problem

Does the sound change with engine rpm's? Does it do it both when moving and stopped?

Yes it seems that the ticking is coming from the engine I hear the chicken one ever were going about 30 miles an hour to forty miles an hour in the mornings when I go to work it doesn't start until the car warms up I'm thinking it might be a burnt valve I'm really not sure I haven't change the spark plugs since I bought it four years ago it might be the spark plugs I just bought a set of plugs and wires going to put them on and see if that will help what do you think I am I going in the right direction to solve this problem

If it is a ticking, I don't think plugs will help. I hate to say it, but it takes a trained ear to recognize sounds like this. To me, I feel it is most likely a lifter that is collapsing. Are you able to take the vehicle to a mechanic and have them listen to it? It should only take a second or two so they shouldn't charge you for it.

Let me know.
