I have a 2000 Ford Focus. Over the weekend, my son and I changed the spark plugs. Now, when the car is in park and idling, it slows down and dies in about a minute or two. Same thing when I am stopped at a red light. I changed the spark plug wire set, not much better. When travelling, the car runs well. Could I have a bad spark plug or perhaps I gapped the spark plugs wrong? The car did not do this before changing the spark plugs.

Check to make sure you didn't disconnect any vacuum hoses. Also, check to make sure no wiring was disconnected.

Let me know what you find.

Legitimate007 is correct. If you are concerned that the plugs may not be gapped properly, that would be a good place to start checking.
