2000 Ford Fiesta Bonnet Release Will Work Popping There Manual Way Which This

bonnet release will not work, it is not popping the bonnet up. is there a manual way in which this can be done?

have an assistant pull the cablerelease and bang the hood at front with hand if it pops up lube the latch assy and cable if possible. check to see if spring has become tighter
