2000 Ford F 250 Started Idles You Shift Into Gear Wants Quit Does Forward

When its started it idles ok, but when you shift into gear it wants to quit. It does it in forward or reverse. Going down the road it runs fine and has power. What can be wrong?

scan for codes, check fuel pressure and clean throttle plate with choke cleaner on both sides.
