starter problems?

When the ignition key is turned, there is a hesitation in turning over. Usually needs a second turn of the key and then turns over slowly. Battery was changed and cables were cleaned.

The starter may be binding up. This can happen from contaminatio n such as oil, which can sometimes be cleaned out. Or, it has a falied bearing or bushing and needs replacement.
