2000 Ford Explorer runs rough

We hade a tune up done. Replaced plugs, wires, and coil. Still runs rough and smells like gas. It stars fine the first time you get in it but if you park and come back right away you have to turn the key a couple of times to get it started again. If it sits for awhile and you state it up its fine but still runs rough and smell like gas.

You may have a leaking fuel injector, get a fuel rail pressure test done, if static pressure drops quickly proberbly a faulty injector.

Somebody told my husband it could be the EGR valve or EGR sensor. Do you think it is possible it could be that, and which one would we change first. Im on a fixed income and want to spend the money wisely. Thank you
