We are rebuilding my 2000 Ford Explorer and have a wire hooked into the wiring harness with a clip. The other end of the wire has a round circle sensor looking end. I need to know where the circle end goes.

This is a bit hard to visualize, can you post a pic? If the sensor is attached with a bolt through the middle it may be a knock sensor.

It may be attached with a bolt, I will try to send the picture again. Where does the knock sensor bolt into?

I did send, but the new system is having a few problems, anyway, according to Mitchell 1 data base, it is located under the inlet manifold, they do not supply a pic, but it will bolt directly onto the block, I am looking for a location pic elsewhere.

Thank you soooo much. We will continue to try to find the location. If you are able to find a picture, I would greatly appreciate it. My wish for Christmas that my car will be back together and running by then seems to be closer to reality now. Thank you!

You may not hear from me for a bit as I am in Australia and I got to head off to work now, it's 9-30 AM Monday here, so I will be back on after my shift this evening.
