My 2000 Ford Explorer overheated because I ran out of coolent. I replaced my water pump and my thermostat but my car is still leaking badly. I dont have antifreeze in my oil. What else could it be and how do I check? After my heat gage went all the way up I pulled over and it hasent been driven senice, It was smokeing really bad.

Have it chemically and pressure tested to find out more-you could have blown the headgasket, cracked the head or block or an intake leak

Depending on the extent of the overheat, you may have damaged you head(s) and/ or head gasket(s)

Your Radiator juice may be going out the tailpipe(s). Unless you see an external leak. Is your exhaust steamy?

Perform radiator pressure test and if need be, a compression test on all cylinders.
