low air coming out of vents

where the wire form the ac plugs into the knob to adjust temp control(high to low) the plug has melted. how do i fix this and where should i get the part. not much wire to work with, do i need to relpace whole wire from a/c to the control. if i cant do this how much should i expect to spend?

you need the connector service kit and the part it actually melted.
dealer only. go to the dealer parts and get a picture and identify the needed parts.
