engine misfire

I have a2000 e-250 van w/122000 miles triten v8. two weeks ago I blew a plug out of the head and had that repaired w/the kit.All went well w/the repair.This morning it is misfiring ,when I parked it fri.(outside)it was fine ,don't know what to make of it.???????????? Thers is a burning smell outside the van (had to drive it to work).service engine light is on

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL/SES to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis,finding out what's going on.

Thanks - tomorrow I am taking it to the shop - about 10-12 miles... do you think I'll do damage by driving it there?
