WOW! Amazing site! Glad I finally found it after many long hours of searching for answers. I am hopeful that you can be helpful to me.

E150 van, right side cargo door (primary, right-hand door). Both inside and outside handles failed. Research has taught me about the cables. So far, I have found 2 and both have broken rubber fixtures at ends. I ordered metal replacements.

Problem - While messing with it, I wrongly closed the clasp. No handles, no cables, so I can't follow your posted advice on how to open the clasp. I will have to do it manually from inside the door. Problem - I cannot find the lever/arm that the cable attaches to so I can manually move it and open the clasp. I can see an area that looks right, but it does not move. Where is that lever on the latch that will release the clasp?

Update - I finally realized that I must remove the latch in order to find out how to open the clasp and attach the repaired cables. Problem - just removing the screws is not enough as the latch is still restrained by what looks like the power lock module. It looks to be fastened to the frame by a rivit. What is the procedure for totally removing the latch so that I can work on it?

Thanks very much in advance!
