I have an ABS light on. I replaced the VSS and still a problem. I noticed when coming to a stop the brakes lock up.

Airbag light comes on every once In awhile. It does not flag at all. It stays solid until I shut the van off. The cruise control does not work. Or any button on the steering column.

The odometer/speedometer does not read mph but it is recording mileage. The thermostat is the only other thing wrong with the cluster.

Last ,
Tried to plug the obd111 scanner into the van and it stalled when hitting enter.

With all these problems. Do they all have something in common ? Or Is this a separate issue? (E-350 van)

If you have not had the stored codes read in the ABS module, you need to have that done now. Post the codes numbers here and we can go from there.

Reading the ABS module should have nothing to do with engine operation. The engine does not have to be running to read codes anyway.

Every place I have been to requires the vehicle to be started. If it should not be running then why is that the standard. I believe a common answer I found was that the PCM software for the 2000 e350 7.3 does not work with the current obd scanners.

You are not reading the PCM. You are reading the ABS module. This is not something done with a generic code reader. It requires a scan tool capable of reading the ABS module. It is done with the key on, engine off.
