2000 Ford Contour Had Countor New Loved Except One Took Back Dealer

I have had my Ford Countor 2000 from new. I have loved it except one issue. I took it back to the dealer years ago and they said it was out of warranty.
The whole dashboard has separated from the windshield. It keeps getting worse.I am worried that it could affect the airbag functions. I sort of joke to my friends that one day it will just all come straight up and I won't be able to see to drive.
Have you heard of this before?

yep, sun damage from the heat on the dash.

you will have to replace the dash assembly.
