Our mechanic told us that we need to find a Camshaft Pulley tp replace the one that is bent on our 2000 Dodge Stratus. The only thing that I can find for it is the Timing Gear Pulley. Is that what I am looking for. The internet is showing me that they go by both names. (The Camshaft Pulley and the Timing Gear Pulley) Can any one out there help us?

Hello,

The camshaft does not have a pulley, there is a sprocket at the end of the camshaft to drive the timing belt.

I think the mechanic might be mentioning the crankshaft pulley also known as the harmonic balancer. Which is the large pulley that is located at the bottom of the serpentine belt routing (see picture of the pulley below). You might want confirm that with your mechanic.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
