how to get my speedometer working

I changed out a transmission in a 2000 dodge cummin 2500 and the speedometer isnt working can i get some tips to getting it working again?

There should be a plug in on the trans somewhere. Look on there for a plug in missing a plug and find the plug and place the two together and Voila!

Lindsaymmo5, The transmission has a speed sensor on it that sends a signal to the PCM then to the speedo. As mentioned, it is most likely disconnected or damaged. If you changed the transmission with a different year, that could be a problem.
