Cant get pressure to the fuel rail

The fuel pump sounds like its working but cant get the system to prime up.

the pump can make noise and still produce pressure. get the pressure checked to verify the pump failure.

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge to rule out the fuel pump

I can push the needle valve in on the rail and I dont have any pressure at all

no, there is a bypass in the filter that will allow fuel even when it is clogged.
