Will the engine on a 2002 Dodge Neon fit a 2000 Dodge Neon, or will the transmission from a 2000 Dodge Neon fit in a 2002 Dodge Neon?

My Daughter has a 2002 Dodge Neon with a bad transmission. I have a 2000 Dodge Neon with a bad engine. I want to make one car out of the two. Change Enines or transmission?

it may fit but they may not be the same on the inside. your electrical connections must be the same.make sure to match them up. you could call a junkyard and ask them they usually know or a trans shop will.
