We bought the 2000 Dogde Neon used in July 2011. At our last oil change it was noticed that the reverse lights were not working. The brake lights are fine. changing the bulbs did not fix the problem. The transmission needed a flush and refill so the switch was changed also but the lights came on for a second and then stopped working again. The only other work done on the car was the inspection in July and my son purchased and had installed a new car stereo at an auto audio shop about a month ago. Any ideas what could be causing the problem?

Check the switch again could be loose or defective or a ground problem
