Drain oil. Remove front engine mount bracket. Remove powertrain bending strut. Remove structural collar from oil pan and transaxle. Remove transaxle inspection cover. If equipped with A/C, remove oil filter and adapter. On all models, remove oil pan.
To install, clean oil pan and engine gasket surfaces. Apply silicone rubber adhesive to engine block parting line. See Fig. 5. Install oil pan gasket to block. Install pan. If equipped with A/C, install oil filter and adaptor. On all models, install transaxle inspection cover. Install powertrain bending strut. Install front engine mount and bracket. Install structural collar using 3 step sequence as follows:
1st: install structural collar-to-oil pan bolts and tighten to 27 INCH. Lbs. (3 N.M).
2nd: install structural collar-to-transaxle bolts and tighten to 80 ft. Lbs. (108 N.M).
3rd: tighten structural collar-to-oil pan bolts to 40 ft. Lbs. (54 N.M).
