I have a 2000 dodge neon. its key was destroyed in a fire. a reproduction of the key doesnt work. the reproduction bends in the ignition when you turn it.
The original key had a black plastic coating on the end, I have been told that black plastic on the end contained a chip that allows this key to turn. Nothing other than that is wrong with the vehicle. its just been sitting ever since.
