I'm driving along when all of a sudden, without warning, my car just shuts down totally. No power whatsoever. After a bit, when it sits, it will start up again normally. This has happened when it's been 90 degrees or 60 degrees. I'm getting very upset because it happens in the middle of traffic. HELP !

The first thing I would have checked is the battery and alternator autozone or orielleys can do this for free
after that I would start checking for loose connectors under the hood simple wiggle test while the car is running wiggle said connector if the car cuts off there's your problem
then I would check for vacuum leaks using a can of starter fluid spray vacuums lines when u pass over a leak the idle speed of the engine will change if none of these work get back to me

Most common cause of a total loss of electrical power to the entire car, not just engine stalling, is a loose smaller battery positive cable where it bolts to the under-hood fuse box. Be sure that is clean and tight. Also check the smaller black negative battery wire where it bolts to the body.
