2000 Dodge Intrepid Steering issue

When I turn my wheels I am getting a bumping noise and it seems that the steering wheel is getting slightly locked. It does not stay this way for long. I am nervous about driving the car at this time. This only seems to happen when I am making a right turn. Any suggestions?

have the axles, wheel bearing checked as well as front suspension
