The front end shakes ( vibrates ) between the speeds of 20 mph to 60 mph. Seems like it only does it when you give it the gas. It stops when you let off the gas. Why?

My car vibrates when I am slowing down. It does it even when not applying the brakes when slowing down. What can it be?

The first suspects would be the universal joints on the rear drive shaft, and the transmission mount.

Im getting noise and vibration from front end, I took it in to be fixed and had the ball joints and 1 axle fixed but it didnt solve the problem, I dont believe the process of elimination is very economical. The noise increases as I accelerate.

Hi there,

Are you feeling the vibration through the steering or just the body?

Hi there,

If just in the floor & body I would be looking at rear tyres, rear end, rear drive shaft, if it was in the front you will get vibration felt in the steering, look at the rear end next.

Excessive vibration coming from rear of vehicle. Only does it when it has been drove for 15 or 20 minutes and it dont do it all the time, but is doing it more frequently. Jacked rear of vehicle up and found in and out play in the wheels on both side of the rear of vehicle. What could this be? Also center of both rear wheels where hot to touch and smell of something getting hot.

What would cause a vibration in my 99 durango? I have replace the brakes, rotors, brake line, passenger wheel hub, and the upper and lower ball joints were replaced less than 3k ago. I had the tires rotated and nothing is loose or leaking in the rear.

Is this a steering vibration or a body vibration? Do you feel any increase in the vibration with the brakes on? (While driving)

My 2001 durango has a vibration noise on the front drivers side. When I turn to the right it goes away, (just the right, turning left still makes the noise). I was thinkin it might be CV joint but it doesnt have alot of play in it. I just had tranny overhauuled 10,000 miles ago(about yr ago). I am starting to get stumped. Ive recently replaced the brakes so thats not it. Im running outta ideas, anyone have a clue? Driveshaft, power steering?

What about wheel bearing? They are noted for remitting when you turn.
