So what's causing my Durango 2000 to sputter black sutt threw the tailpipe. I'm only getting 6 mpg too. This started to happen shortly after I had a tune-up done on it. Took it back to the garage who did the tune-up and they supposedly put on their machine and told be nothing was found!?!?!?

Could be running rich due to one of the following below

1.Excessive fuel pressure can be cause by restricted fuel return line
2.Defective Oxygen Sensors.
3.Leaking injectors and fuel pressure regulator.
4.Coolant temperature sensor out of calibration.
5.Restricted air intake system.
