Hi I have a 2000 Dakota 4.7l automatic. Engine light came on, it was a catalytic converter left bank failure I had it cleared by my mechanic, but not repaired as of yet. Now I got two new fault codes p0725 and p1781. The engine light came on and I noticed my gear shifter was in between gears. I cleared the codes and all seems well. Could this be an error activated by the shifter being between gears?

the 725 deals with the input shaft sensor. However, I don't see how that would do what you described. The 1781 is a Overdrive Hydraulic Pressure Switch Circuit. Again, that doesn't fit what you described.
