Fluid in oil

I was checking the oil in my minivan and found a milky fluid in the oil and on the cap. I havn't had any problem with the vehicle running or starting differently although the check engine light has been on.

That indicates the presence of water in the oil and it usually is an indication of a bad head gasket. Check the coolant level in radiator, do you need to top it up often?
For the CEL, it is indicating an error in the engine control system and a scan woul tell you what is causing it. Autozone provides free scanning services.
