door chime keeps going off and showing the hatch is open when its not?

The door chime keeps going off and showing the hatch is open when its not. Also the interior lights will blink as the door chime goes off. HELP PLEASE

It sounds like the latch is bad which has the switch inside of it.

their is a switch on the lock assy. that controls the light. someone may have used a slim jim to try to get in the car and has broken it off. you need to remove the door panel and inspect the lock assy. for a broken door ajar switch at the lock assy.the switch is black and has only 1 bolt hole in it and maybe hanging down or in the bottom of the door. it has 2 wires going to it.
