the lifters was replaced but it is still making a ticking noise

Keep in mind that lifters will make a certain amount of noise.
So, it will depend on the severity of the noise that you have heating.
Also, the injector pulses can create a noticeable clicking noise as well.

If the engine oil is low, you can also hear this type of noise. So first make sure that the engine oil is at the correct level.

Does the noise louder at certain times, like when the engine is cold? or does it stay about the same regardless of temperature?
