does that mean machanic damaged it?

trans was fine then had front left axle replaced now transmission is bad .

Recheck the axle and make sure it was installed correctly

I don’t understand the fact that the car drove fine how transmission could now need repairs. They took out axle that they say someone put in the wrong size and that damaged it. I have driven the van for 8mo no problem so when was the damages done after removal????

If a wrong axle to be forced in place it will crack and damage the tranny
causing internal parts failure
