coolant goes to overflow but doesnt return to radiator while system is pressurized.i replaced the radiator cap n still have same results.

It won't go back with system pressurized. Once the engine starts cooling there is a contraction which creates a vacuum in the cooling system, that vacuum will draw coolant from reservoir. Some of the others may be able to explain it better than I?

if it's not returning after cool off you likely have a engine gasket problem/faliure.
