2000 Chev Suburban 1500LS oil leak. Dealer states oil plan warpage causing leak, replacing gasket only may not fix. Shouldn't oil pan be checed when removed vs auto replace? $600!

They should check it when they remove it with a straight edge before replacing it. If you need a oil pan I would shop around dorman make's 600 is a lot to spend on a oil pan.
