only blow from the defroster vents

When I turn on the AC/Heater the air only comes out of the defroster vents. I have tried to find the vacuum hose my mechanic says goes from the intake to the vent controls. I can't find it. HELP

Recently when I try to use my AC or Heater in the truck it will only blow from the defroster vents. I have moved the vent control lever back and forth but no response from the other vent outlets.

A vacuum line has broken or fallen off in the engine bay, please lift the hood and inspect, get back to us when you find the problem.
