4.3 L fuel injected
Truck ran fine till it ran out of gas, after adding fuel it won't start.
Does running out of gas cause component failure ?
I've tried turning the key to just before start and waited for fuel pressure to come up and still no luck.
I've checked the fuses that I thought would pertain to fuel system and all is good .
Not certain what to do next.

I bet the pump went bad. Have you checked fuel pump pressure? That is where I would start. I bet you will find that it is either really low or no pressure at all. Check that and let me know what you find.
