Bought a 2000 chev zr2 pick up it is stuck in low range although the indicator light says its in 2hi wrong it's 4lo any help

Does it have the push button 4wd shifter or is it on the floor?

You need to check for power to the actuator on the transfer case. if there is power, the actuator itself may be the problem.
