turned cruise off by hand and when i went to set it again didn't work i checked the fuse it's ok

Possibilities here: could be the cruise control module and PCM-Have it scanned for code/s-start here

Do you mean like a scan at a auto parts store or a dealer?

Go to Autozone/Adance Auto they'll scan it

Had a scan done showed nothing
