When I put on my brakes they are vibrating a little bit. I can feel it in the steering wheel. We recently went to the mountains for vacation and the brakes have been chattering ever since. The brake pads are not that old, what could it be?

The front brake rotors may have been over heated when traveling down the mountain. When they get really hot the rotors can warp and can cause a noticeable vibration when applying the brakes. If the rotors are warped severely they may not be able to be machined and will need to be replaced. Have them inspected to be certain.
