put a new fuel pump in with a new connector spliced, checked everything and pump is not running but car cranks up but wont start. What to do next? With the old pump it took a few times to turn the key and it started . Im sure I went through it all, I basically follow all the instructions on the net through all you good mechanics.

Did you check to see if there was power to the new pump? Can you hear it run? If so, have you checked fuel pump pressure at fuel rail?
