AC blows cool air but not cold like it should

I have a 2000 chevy malibu and the air conditioning will blow out really cool air, but its not cold like it should be, do you think that it maybe just needs Freon or could it be something else id like to fix this before summer, thank you guys u r great I come to this site for everything cars. Be could I just need Freon or would it be something else causing this?

If all seems to work right I would say add a can of freon.

Have some one check it with gauge readings. It may or may not be low.
