So I was just returning from the store and as I made the right turn the steering wheel locked up, my first thought was that the power steering gave out but quickly noticed it wasnt just the wheel but that car turned off. What could have caused this.

Many things could causer the engine to stall. Is it stalling now? It could be a vacuum leak, idle air control valve...
