My 2001 chevy express g3500 ignition switch is malfunctioning. It seems the ignition is not registering the key. Therefore, the key is not turning. What can I do to get my ignition to turn?

Replacing it is about your only option and even then it's designed to be removed from the "on" position so it may require some drilling. I suggest you let a locksmith or professional tech do it.
