gauges in vette going wacky all of a sudden. Told a grounding issue? And costly to repair-is this possible?

A bad ground can cause many problems. Check body grounds for damage, rust, or broken straps. I will say that if the gauges are the only things going crazy, check under the dash for body ground strap problems. Also, make sure the main ground from the battery to the engine block is clean and tight. Finally, if all grounds are good, have the body control module tested.
