Will a car stall out if radiator cap is faulty and not containing pressure?

Discovered Radiator cap glued on. Car has been stalling out when it warms up.

I plan on doing that, but just wondering if it's this is a common or even heard of problem.

I had the same issue on my 63 impala, replaced the radiator cap ran like a champ, but be sure to get the right psi cap, the 1st one I got was only 13 psi did not wrk, went with a 15-18 psi solved the issue
