put on wrong jumper cables

i pput my battery cables on backward and now my car won't start

Are you saying it cranks good but won't start? Or it won't even crank? You may have damaged your pcm, can't be sure? Turn key on, check for ref voltage at one of your sensors, an example tps. If no reference voltage I'd have to check voltage and ground circuits at the computer.
